Our inclusive preschool programs benefit children age 3 and 4 as they prepare for kindergarten in the public school system. Classes are taught in a bilingual (English/ Spanish) format to accommodate dual language learners. New Jersey State Preschool Teaching and Learning Standards guide El Primer Paso’s programs, serving as a model for delivering high-quality educational experiences to our students and outlining developmentally appropriate teaching practices and expected learning outcomes for young children.

We follow the NJ Department of Education early childhood curriculum model, Creative Curriculum, which is a research-based program to foster positive relationships, social-emotional competence, constructive play to support essential learning, and teacher-family partnerships.  Nutritious meals or snacks are provided in both the full-day and half-day programs.  Tuition is assessed on a sliding scale basis and scholarships may be available for children in need.

*Full-day – 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM
Monday through Friday 

*Half-day morning – 8:30 AM to 11:00 AM Monday through Friday 

*Half-day afternoon– 12:00 PM to 2:30 PM Monday through Friday 

*Half-day afternoon T/Th – 12:00 PM to 2:30 PM Tuesday and Thursday

*Half-day afternoon M/W/F – 12:00 PM to 2:30 PM Monday, Wednesday and Friday
